IFA | There are plenty of training programmes on the market. But how do employers select the most suitable training course for their workers? Researchers from Hanover have developed a questionnaire which helps make the proper choice. Moreover, they are developing virtual reality learning concepts.
To stay competitive, companies have to safeguard and enhance the know-how of their staff. Especially for small and medium-sized enterprises (SME), it is quite challenging to choose the best training programme. First, they must identify which content is necessary and then opt for the adequate training format – considering whether their workers prefer to learn on their own or in a group, or whether they favour new media or rather go for classical seminars.
Within the scope of the research project “MiWeB“, the Institute of Production Systems and Logistics (IFA) in cooperation with forward ttc GmbH and TEWISS GmbH has developed a questionnaire to help companies choose systematically the best training programme. Moreover, the researchers have developed a new learning format: Automation technology content is imparted in a practice-oriented virtual reality learning environment.
