IPH/PZH | A bus rebuilt as factory is presently touring across Lower Saxony and Bremen. The goal: getting small enterprises informed on Industry 4.0. The free roadshows are organized by "Mit uns digital!". Until the end of 2017, there will be another eleven tours.

"We want to show companies on the spot what it is all about digitalization", says André Heinke of the SME 4.0 Competence Centre "Mit uns digital!" Since learning by doing is the best way to address the topic, the tour bus holds a small factory for the production of individual ball pens in lot size one - with technologies which are easy to apply also for small and medium-sized enterprises.

There is a great demand: "In March, we went on tour for the first time. Since then, we have had already nine tour dates", explains Heinke. The roadshows are often combined with informative meetings where companies have the opportunity to ask Industry 4.0 experts specific questions. Future bus tours will also offer training sessions.

Until the end of the year, the bus will be heading for another eleven cities - among them Lüneburg, Osnabrück, Nordenham, Braunschweig and Bad Fallingbostel. The next roadshow tour dates are listed on: www.mitunsdigital.de/veranstaltungen-und-termine/roadshows
