Advanced training course ’’Modern Coating Methods’’ at FORTIS

IW | An advanced training course on modern coating methods takes place on 8 and 9 November 2016 in Witten. The course is addressed to engineers and technicians working in the development, construction, production and consulting sector.

From atmospheric plasma spraying towards electroplating: Participants in the course gain a better insight into the potential of surface technology. Apart from coating methods that are well-established in industry, the course also presents recent methods – such as methods of diamond synthesis, the cold gas dynamic method or nanoparticle processing.

The participants can deepen their theoretical knowledge in a workshop and experience working conditions: For this purpose, various coating systems are presented in action and discussed afterwards.

The course is organized by the Division Joining and Surface Technology (FORTIS) of the Institute of Materials Science (IW) in cooperation with the German Society for Materials Science (DGM). The course takes place on 8 and 9 November 2016 at Ringhotel Parkhotel Witten (Bergerstraße 23, 58452 Witten, Germany). The attendance fee is 1,490 Euro, for DGM members 1,390 Euro.
